     A fulfilling experience.  Since 1731, the Chester Church has welcomed all who want to experience the love of God in Christian community and worship. 

     As God's people, gathered into a community of faith in the heart of our small town, we will provide an open and welcoming physical and spiritual center for worship, fellowship, support, Christian education, service, and outreach to one another, the community and the world.  We celebrate the rich and varied religious heritage of our congregation, yet we are a united and caring church family, knit together in love by our common faith in Jesus Christ.  We strive to embody Christ's love and teachings in our living and being, and to share our faith, talents and resources with others through our mutual ministry in His name.

Our affiliation and covenant…

     While we hold to the autonomy of the local Church and its freedom to order itself, we cherish the unity of the churches in district, state, and national bodies for counsel and cooperation in matters of common concern and mission, and gladly acknowledge our memberships in the United Church of Christ and the American Baptist Churches.  We further hold to the unity and catholicity of the Church of Jesus Christ and will unite with all its branches in hearty cooperation; and will earnestly seek that the prayer of Jesus Christ be answered, that all his followers may be one.  We covenant with God and with one another and do bind ourselves in the presence of God, to walk  together in all God's ways.
